On 13th October, the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering held the Advanced Class Collective Display Sharing and Selection Meeting for the Academic Year 2022-2023 in C501, Zhi Gong Building. Participants in the selection meeting include: Chen Bixia, Secretary of the Party Vice Committee of the College, Zhou Haijun, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Wu Huanyu, Teacher Representative of the Department of Engineering Management Science, Zhang Bochen, Representative of the Department of Intelligent Transportation, all the counsellors of the Office of Academic and Labour Affairs, the representatives of the participating class groups as well as the representatives of the class committees of all undergraduate class groups.
Mr Pan Wenlong introduced the conditions for the selection of advanced class groups, and then the representatives of the applicant classes went up to the stage one by one to present and share their experiences and receive questions from the judges.
Mr Zhou Haijun hoped that the students of the Excellence Class could focus on their studies, formed an atmosphere of mutual help within the class, and encouraged them to apply for postgraduate studies at the University.
Mr Ye Dongwei suggested that each class could start to collect the graduation destinations of their classmates and mobilise students with the same destinations to form study pairs and groups to increase learning motivation and enhance resource sharing.
Chen Bixia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, made a concluding speech. Firstly, she pointed out that class group construction is one of the important foundations for the smooth implementation of the college's student work. Secondly, she talked about the class committee is the communication link between the college and students, and welcomed all class committees to make suggestions for the development of the college. Finally, on behalf of the college, Ms Chen Bixia thanked the class teachers and class committees for their enthusiastic dedication in the process of class construction.
Finally, after the evaluation, the following classes were recommended to be awarded the title of "Advanced Class Collective":
