In the list of winners of 2024 Guangdong Science and Technology Awards announced by the People's Government of Guangdong Province on November 20, 2025, “Research on Rust Deterioration and Targeted Inhibition of Coastal Concrete” led by Prof. Bi-Qin Dong of our institute, with SZU as the first completing unit, won the first prize of Natural Science of Guangdong Province;Research on Mechanical Characteristics of Shield Slag Soil and High-quality Digging Technology“ led by Prof. Wang Shuying of our institute, with Shenzhen University as the first completing unit, won the First Prize of Guangdong Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress; and ”Emergency Repair and Multi-Level Protection Technology for Coastal Infrastructure in Face of Extreme Load and Environmental Role" led by Prof. Zhou Yingwu of our institute, won the First Prize of Guangdong Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress;Key Technology and Application of Low Carbon Intelligent Prediction and Monitoring for Public Buildings“ led by Mr. Fan Cheng of our institute and Shenzhen University as the first completion unit, and ”Key Technology and Application of Safety Control for the Reconstruction and Expansion of Oversized Heterogeneous Underground Comprehensive Hubs" led by Mr. Hong Chengyu of our institute and Shenzhen University as the first completion unit won the Second Prize of Guangdong Provincial Scientific and Technological Advancement.

In the particularly competitive Guangdong Province Science and Technology Awards, our institute was able to win the above awards, which fully reflects that our scientific research work has solidly implemented the strategic orientation of “facing the world's scientific and technological frontiers, facing the main battlefield of the economy, facing the country's major needs, and facing the people's life and health” put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and the relevant achievements have been widely recognized in the industry.
