On the morning of January 30, 2024, the Fifth Session of the Seventh Shenzhen People's Congress opened in the auditorium of the Civic Center. Chen Xiangsheng, dean of our college and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the meeting as a delegate of the Seventh Shenzhen People's Congress.

Academician Chen Xiangsheng said that he felt very excited after listening to Mayor Qin Weizhong's government work report. Academician Chen Xiangsheng pointed out that Shenzhen's national economic development, especially the people's livelihood projects have achieved very good results. Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government layout of the work in 2024 is forward-looking, and a lot of work has been done in the cultivation of talents. In the policy tilt and new forms of new industries layout targeting the future, in the "blood" project, basic research and other aspects of the future can be expected.
