The Construction Industry's Digital Transformation Workshop, jointly organised by the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, was held in Shenzhen on 4 November. The president of our institute made a report on "Thinking from Intelligent Geotechnical Engineering Exploration to Digital Intelligent Civil Engineering" at the workshop.

The first "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Exchange Conference was held in Chongqing on 6th November, and Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The conference was divided into 5 sections and 10 activities. Academician Chen Xiangsheng, President of our academy, was invited to give a speech entitled "Integrated Development and Thinking of Manufacturing and Infrastructure (Urban Railway)" in the "Forum on Open Innovation for High-Quality Manufacturing Development in Developing Countries". Thinking of Manufacturing and Infrastructure". He was interviewed by the media after the conference.

On 9th November, he was invited to participate in the "12th Cross-Strait Geotechnical Engineering/Geotechnical Exchange Symposium" held by China Construction Industry Association in Zhejiang University, and gave a keynote speech on "The Utilisation and Progress of Underground Space in Mainland China". He gave a keynote report on "Underground Space Utilisation and Progress in Mainland China" and introduced the achievements of the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering of Shenzhen University in this field. During the conference, extensive exchanges with Taiwanese counterparts were held and a group photo was taken with all members of the Taiwanese delegation.
