On March 25, 2025, Elsevier released the 2024 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list. A total of 6,388 scholars from 547 universities, enterprises, and research institutions across the country were selected, covering 83 first-level disciplines in 10 major academic fields under the Ministry of Education.

This year, a total of nine scholars from our institute were selected, the highest number among all colleges in our university. Among them, seven are from the discipline of Civil Engineering, one from the discipline of Management Science and Engineering, and one from the discipline of Architecture. The Elsevier "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list is based on the Scopus database, a globally authoritative citation and indexing database, which serves as the source for statistical information on the scientific achievements of Chinese scholars. The selection methodology was developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. Being included in the Elsevier Highly Cited Scholars list indicates that the scholar, as the first author and corresponding author, has published papers whose total citation counts rank at the top level among all researchers in the same discipline in China. This signifies a high level of global influence and a significant contribution to the development of their respective fields. The list is a bibliometric analysis conducted by the database company based on the literature information within the database. It serves as a method for measuring and comparing the impact of scholars' research achievements and is intended for reference only.
