Our institute went to Nanning Metro Line 6, Section 01 of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division for an exchange survey

On October 29, 2024, Professor Su Dong, Professor Fu Yanbin, Assistant Professor Lin Xingtao, Assistant Professor Shen Xiang, Assistant Professor Cao Chengyong, Postdoctoral Fellow Zhang Ruixiao, and Dr. Wang Lei from our university held a research cooperation exchange meeting with China Construction Eighth Engineering Division South Company and the General Contracting Department of Nanning Metro Line 6, Section 01. Huang Gui, Chief Engineer of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Southern Company, Xiao Rong, Deputy Chief Engineer, Ma Jun, Dean of Engineering Research Institute, Xu Liangquan, Executive Deputy Commander of the General Contracting Department of Nanning Metro Line 6 Section 01, Zhang Tao, Deputy Chief Engineers Ma Changxin, Peng Bolun and other leaders attended the exchange meeting.

Chief Engineer Huang Gui first warmly welcomed our team and introduced the development history and business sectors of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division South Company. Professor Su Dong introduced the founding history, main research directions, and recent achievements of the Future Underground City Research Institute at Shenzhen University through a promotional video. Xu Liangquan, Executive Vice Commander, and Ma Changxin, Deputy Chief Engineer, gave detailed introductions on the 01 section of Nanning Metro Line 6, including project overview, key and difficult points, innovative technology application, and innovation award plan.

Subsequently, the attendees went to the key work areas of Line 6 for on-site inspection, and had in-depth exchanges with the responsible persons of each work area on the construction environment, main difficulties, and key risk points of the project.

In the afternoon, based on the on-site survey, both parties further discussed the solutions to the key difficulties of the project, the main direction of scientific research, and the plan for creating excellence and awards. They look forward to more in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the future.
