On the morning of August 6, 2025, Zhang Yan, Party Secretary of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation at Yangzhou University, and Dean Deng Shejun led a delegation to visit our institute for research and exchange. Academician Chen Xiangsheng, Dean of our institute, along with Vice Deans Zou Liang and Yang Lei, Zhou Haijun, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and Liao Longhui, Associate Head of the Department of Engineering Management Science, participated in the symposium. The symposium was chaired by Vice Dean Zou Liang.

Dean Chen Xiangsheng extended a warm welcome on behalf of the School to the delegation from Yangzhou University's School of Civil Engineering and Transportation. He provided an overview of Shenzhen University and the School, highlighting key developments in research platforms, faculty development, and the cultivation of interdisciplinary talent in “Digital Intelligence + Civil Engineering.” Deng Shejun also introduced the history and recent advancements of Yangzhou University and its School of Civil Engineering and Transportation.

Subsequently, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on various aspects including discipline development and scientific research, program and curriculum construction, recruitment of high-level talent, enhancing young faculty members' AI and engineering practice capabilities, revision of training programs, and student development, sharing their respective experiences and practices. After the meeting, both sides took a commemorative group photo.
