报告内容简介:
This lecture will review various conventional non-destructive tests for in-situ assessment of concrete structures and discuss the concepts of structural health monitoring in infrastructures. From the review we can see that embedded sensors are the key components for smart construction of concrete structures. In the past years we developed a new technique for measurement of the electrical conductivity in concrete. Based on this technique we can embed an array of sensors in concrete to simultaneously measure the conductivity of concrete at different depths, which can be related to various properties of fresh and hardened concrete such as initial and final settings, strength development and moisture distributions under drying process. It has been demonstrated that this technique can also be used to monitor the carbonation process in concrete. There is a great potential to use this technique in structural health monitoring for long-term behavior of concrete, such as chloride ingress and frost attack.
