Team Overview

Research Directions and Features

Targeting major national strategic needs such as the "Transportation Power" strategy and the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", the team focuses its key efforts on three directions: intelligent sensing systems and equipment for infrastructure in extreme environments, structural state assessment and disaster warning, and disaster prevention and mitigation and intelligent operation and maintenance. The work mainly involves extreme-environment functional materials and sensing devices, dynamic precision measurement of structures in extreme environments, data interpretation of multiple structures and complex environmental elements, precise identification and development trend prediction of hidden diseases in structures in extreme environments, and performance assessment and sudden disaster prediction and warning of structures in extreme environments. It also covers integrated performance improvement of engineering structural materials in extreme environments and key materials and technical equipment for targeted repair. The team provides technical support for the safe construction, intelligent operation and maintenance, and green longevity of infrastructure in extreme environments, and supports the development of strategic emerging industries such as safety and emergency response, high-end equipment, and precision instruments and equipment.
